Hotel needs renovation/upgrades

The staff is friendly the breakfast is ok Location: close to the landmark

The hotel is so old, the beds are in bad condition the bathroom too small, have no closet and linens very poor quality.

Good value for money.and excellent location

Helpful and obliging staff. They fixed up an enjoyable personal tour to the Aviario Nacional and Playa Blanca. Excellent central location. Breakfast on the roof top. Moderately priced.

Seriously unripe papaya for breakfast. Bedroom needed a bit more loving care. Nowhere to hang clothes and the shelf for towels was broken so the only place to put them away was on the floor. The air conditioning worked perfectly however.

Basic accommodation in historical building in the heart of the historical centre

The hotel is located in the historical centre, so it's a great starting point for sightseeing. The communal balcony is lovely and it's a great place for people watching. The hotel generally has nice historical atmosphere. The staff was helpful and friendly, their level of English varied a lot but they all did their best to help us.

The windows are covered, there is no natural light in the rooms; some natural light would make the rooms so much cosier. The court could be so lovely, they should just clean up the mess there. The level of English of the staff varies a lot; some members of the staff spoke barely any English.

The hotel had a pile of rubbish un the middle of the court...

The hotel had a pile of rubbish un the middle of the court yard , pointed it to the receptionist and looked at me with saying ,that is not razón forma complaining , the following morning when de decides to chante hoteles , she diud not appear willing to accomodate and the rubbish das still there un full display of heat .

We had a nice stay.

Nice location and breakfast

The sink of the bathroom was loose. And the staff was nice ,with the exception of the old lady of the reception that did not listen to us, although we said it 3 times and she just said yes but did not pay attention and we almost lost the excursion and we lost the ride by car and had to walk a lot in the heat !!!! And she sent us to a bad excursion to playa blanca

Basic hotel in the center of Ciudad Amurallada

Good location IF you want to be in the middle for la ciudad amurallada, it's a very busy area but go a few blocks up north and you'll find more quietness. Breakfast was OK, you need to choose between eggs or pancakes, it would have been great to have both options. Staff tends to be friendly and helpful.

Bedroom was a bit awkward but I guess it's regular for this kind of hotels. IT is pricey for what they offer, but Cartagena is it in general anyway. The bathroom ventilator was super noisy. Wardrobe very all and a bit smelly. I requested a room with a window but all windows looks to the main hall, ours was very small ergo the dump smell. We got the 1 double-one single beds room that in next to reception so can be a bit noisy, although it wasn't a problem for us.

Great stay!

Breakfast was very good. Got to choose between 4-5 different options. Air conditioning in the room saved us! Always felt safe around the city and in the hostel

The only thing is if you want to spend time around the hostel there isn’t really a place to sit and hang out. There are tables on the veranda upstairs but not too cozy.

Less of what we expected

The location. It was central and close to everything. Breakfast was good and the staff was amazing

The hotel was nice but it isn’t like the pictures. I was going with my parents and I thought it was a fancy hotel in the city center but it wasn’t what we expected.

The hotel is located within the walled old city of Cartagena...

The hotel is located within the walled old city of Cartagena so everything is within walking distance. The inner design of the hotel was nice.

Despite its location, the hotel was not so easy to find since we arrived late, the sign of the hotel is small and easy to miss. In addition, the street where the hotel is located is a bit empty during the night with some shady characters looming about. Also the furniture in the room was a bit old.

Centre of old town

Room was right next to reception, door may as well not have been there, could hear every loud shouted conversation between staff from 6-7am onwards every day, left a day early because of this, wouldn’t recommend. Breakfast wasn’t very nice either.
